Fourth Page! :)

Elaine stepped outside as a black truck with a horse trailer pulled up.
“Hello Elaine. Ready to go?” Sergeant Berpeck asked
“Yes I’m ready.” The men loaded Elaine’s belongings into the back of the truck and then put the cows in the horse trailer. Sergeant Berpeck lifted Elaine to the seat and buckled her in.
“Alright all set lets go.” Sergeant Berpeck said with a smile as he shut the door.
As Bill got in the driver’s seat Elaine started asking a lot of questions.
“How many people are in your family? What does your house look like? How old are you? Do you like me? Do you like your job?” And so on.
“Four. It’s a pretty log cabin on the other side of town. I’m forty nine. Yes, I think you’re very sweet. Yes I like to help people. Why are you asking all of these questions?”
“Just curious.” Was all she said as she looked out the window.
“Alright, now it’s my turn. What’s your favorite thing to do?”
“Probably color and have tea parties or picnics.”
“Do you have your own tea set?”
“No but I’ve always wanted one. I thought I was going to get one today but then everything was ruined.”
“Well, since I had to work this morning I thought we could have a Christmas tomorrow and you can do it with us.”
“That sounds wonderful!” Elaine said as a huge grin wiped over her face.
“Great it’s settled then! Oh here we are.” Bill said as he pulled into the driveway of a huge log cabin that looked so cozy that Elaine had to hold her breath.
“It’s beautiful!” Elaine said as he pulled around to the back.
“I’m going to put the cows in the barn just wait here for a second.”
“Okay.” Elaine said as she pondered the house and it’s beauty.
Bill helped Elaine take in all of her belongings and then introduced her to the family.
            “This is Barbra.”
“Hi it’s so nice to meet you sweetie.” Barbara said as she bent over to hug Elaine.
“Hello.” Elaine said as she returned the embrace.
“This is Sara she’s nine, and this is Jasmine she’s your age.”
“Hi you look like lots of fun. Sara said as she also hugged Elaine.
“Hello nice to meet you.” Elaine said hugging Sara.
The seven year old ran up to Elaine looked her up and down and then hugged her tightly. “We’re going to be great friends.” Jasmine said.
Elaine hugged her tightly as she smiled. “That sounds wonderful!”
